Why the dates change every year
The Islamic calendar follows the moon, so its year is about 11 days shorter than the regular calendar. That is why Ramadan and both Eids move about 11 days earlier every year — Ramadan 2026 began in February, and Ramadan 2028 will begin in late January.
Eid ul Fitr 2027 expected date in Pakistan
Eid ul Fitr falls on 1 Shawwal, the day after Ramadan ends. If Ramadan starts around 8–9 February and lasts 29 or 30 days, Eid ul Fitr falls around 9–10 March 2027, with Chand Raat the night before.
