Guides & JournalEid Gift Bag Ideas for Kids and Friends
Eid gift bags are small bags of treats and little gifts handed to children — and sometimes friends — on Eid, usually with Eidi tucked inside. For kids, a good Eid goodie bag has something sweet, something to play with, something to wear (like bangles or a hair clip) and an Eidi envelope. For friends, a small personal gift in a pretty bag works better than anything expensive. Here are Eid gift bag ideas for kids and friends, and how to make them at home.
What to put in Eid gift bags for kids
For toddlers, skip anything small enough to swallow and stick to soft, age-appropriate items.
- Eidi — crisp notes in a bright envelope with their name.
- Sweets — chocolates, candies or a small box of mithai.
- Something to play with — stickers, a colouring book, crayons, bubbles or a small toy.
- Something to wear — bangles, hair clips or a scrunchie for girls; a cap or keychain for boys.
- Something to keep — a crochet keychain or a small soft toy.
- A note — "Eid Mubarak" with their name.
