Your First 10 Sales Playbook
The hardest part of selling online is the beginning β no reviews, no history, no social proof. Here is a step-by-step playbook to get your first 10 sales.
Week 1: Foundation
Day 1β2: Perfect your top 3 listings
Apply everything from the Listings module:
Day 3β4: Tell everyone you know
Your first buyers should come from your personal network. Send a WhatsApp message to 20 people:
*"I just opened my online store on dapxop! I make [product] β here is my store link. Would love it if you checked it out. If you like anything, I am offering 15% off for friends and family this week."*
Day 5β7: Post on Instagram and Facebook
Take your best product photo. Write a caption with:
Week 2: First Reviews
The review request
After your first 2β3 sales, send each buyer a follow-up via dapxop messages:
*"Assalam o Alaikum! I hope your [product] arrived safely and you love it. If you have a moment, leaving a review on my dapxop store would help me a lot as a new seller. Thank you so much!"*
Even 3 reviews transforms your listing's conversion rate.
Week 3β4: Compound
Your action
If you have zero sales, send that WhatsApp message to 20 people today. That is how every successful dapxop seller started.

The Review Engine β Earning & Using Social Proof
Reviews are the currency of marketplace trust. Stores with active review engines grow on autopilot; silent stores fight for every order.
Earning reviews (ethically β the only way)
Using reviews
The dapxop loop
Rating feeds ranking feeds views feeds orders feeds more reviews. Push the wheel early β the first ten reviews are the hardest and the most valuable.
Do this today
Reply to any un-replied review now. Add the review line to your parcel card if you have not already.
Lesson 3 Β· 5 min
Using Promotions & Discount Codes
A well-timed promotion can double your orders in a week. A poorly timed one can train buyers to wait for discounts and never pay full price.
When to run a promotion
Good times to promote
Bad times to promote
Types of promotions in your dashboard
Percentage discount (e.g. EID20 β 20% off)
Best for driving volume. Buyers feel they are getting a deal.
Fixed amount off (e.g. FLAT500 β Rs 500 off orders above Rs 3,000)
Best for increasing average order value β buyers add more to their cart to qualify.
Free delivery code
Best for buyers who are on the fence. Delivery cost is often the #1 reason for abandoned carts.
The urgency principle
A discount without a deadline is not a promotion β it is just a lower price. Always set an expiry:
*"Eid Sale ends Sunday midnight"*
Countdown urgency is one of the most proven sales drivers in ecommerce.
Promoting your promotion
Create the code in your dashboard. Then promote it:
Your action
Create one promotion for the next upcoming occasion (Eid, a long weekend, a new listing launch). Set a 5β7 day window and a real end date.
Lesson 4 Β· 6 min
Positioning β Why Buyers Should Pick YOU
When a buyer compares five similar products, they pick the one that feels DIFFERENT in a way they care about. That difference is positioning.
Pick ONE main position
You cannot be all five. Choose the one you can genuinely defend, then repeat it EVERYWHERE: store bio, product descriptions, packaging note, review replies.
The test
Read your store bio. If any competitor could paste it on their store unchanged β it says nothing. Rewrite until it could only be about you.
Do this today
Write one sentence: "Buyers choose my store because ___." Put it (or its spirit) in your bio and your top 3 descriptions.
Lesson 5 Β· 5 min
Storytelling β The Handmade Sellerβs Unfair Advantage
Factories cannot tell your story. A real person, a craft, a city, a reason β that story is the one asset imports can never copy.
Your story skeleton (fill the blanks)
"I started making ___ because ___. Every piece is ___ (process detail). What makes mine different is ___. When you buy from me, you ___ (support a family / keep a craft alive / get something no machine makes)."
Where the story works
Why it converts (the psychology)
Buyers justify with logic but decide with feeling. "Support a real artisan" adds meaning to a purchase β and meaning commands margin. Story-rich stores measurably sustain higher prices and higher repeat rates.
Do this today
Write your story skeleton. Put the one-liner in your bio and your best product's description tonight.
Lesson 6 Β· 5 min
Social Proof β Engineering Believability
Humans copy humans. Everything that shows OTHER people bought and loved your product sells the next one for you.
The proof stack (build all layers)
Handling the cold-start (zero proof)
Seed honestly: first buyers from your circle who genuinely purchase and review Β· early-bird pricing in exchange for honest feedback Β· document EVERYTHING (first 10 parcels photographed for socials). Never fake β fake proof is a landmine under your brand.
The compounding
Proof attracts orders β orders create proof. Your only job is starting the wheel and never dropping the reply habit.
Do this today
Ask your happiest past buyer for a product photo. One customer photo on your socials this week.
